The rates below are only available to eligible graduate students who received a direct invitation to opt into dental and vision insurance, which include those who are: 1) enrolled in a fully funded program – PhD, MFA or DMA and 2) in their period of guaranteed funding. Do not enroll through this page unless you satisfy each of these requirements.
Delta Dental Premier PPO provides access to the largest network of dentists in the State of Illinois and the option of seeing a provider anywhere in the country. You may visit any provider but will receive the maximum benefit by visiting a Delta Dental PPO provider.
Student coverage is subsidized by Northwestern University. The cost to add dependent family members is listed above.

The DeltaCare USA DHMO plan is a great option for students looking for a lower plan cost with fixed copayments. During the enrollment process, you will select a DeltaCare USA primary dentist that is located in Illinois. This plan includes orthodontia benefits.

Pro Tip: An Illinois facility ID must be selected by the 15th of the month to appear on the next month’s roster. Dental cleanings need to be spaced 6-months apart.

The DeltaVision plan gives you access to the EyeMed Select national network. Eyewear can be purchased at local providers or through Contacts Direct, Glasses.com, Target Optical, Pearle Vision and Lenscrafters.

ASHIP is an Accident and Sickness Hospital Indemnity plan provided by Federal Insurance Company, a Chubb company. This plan pays cash benefits which can be used for unexpected expenses that arise as a result of a hospital confinement. Cash payments are sent directly to you. You are not required to use them to pay the provider. Your coverage will begin the 1st of the month following enrollment. This is not a major medical plan.
